ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Offense was the name of the game Saturday night at the Sullivan Arena as Peter Sivak got a hat trick, Justin Breton scored twice and the Alaska Aces held off the Toledo Walleye 8-6 in front of over 4500 for Star Wars night.

With the win, Alaska extends its consecutive game point streak to 10 games.

Stephen Perfetto started the scoring party at 31 seconds of the first period, banging in a Sivak centering pass after a mishandled puck by Walleye goaltender Cal Heeter. The goal was Perfetto's 10th of the season. Dax Lauwers also assisted.

Ben Lake made it 2-0 at the 5 minute mark, his 3rd, from Marc-Andre Levesque and Tyler Ruegsegger, then the Aces extended the lead to 3-0 with Sivak's 17th goal of the season at 12:01, assisted by goaltender Kevin Carr. Sivak again at 14:41 from Ryan Trenz and Perfetto boosted the lead to 4-0.

Toledo pushed back with two goals before the end of the period...one by A.J. Jenks and another by Tyler Sikura cut the lead in half at 4-2.

There were 14 goals scored in the game by the two teams...zero in the second period.

The third period was highlighted by Tim Wallace. The Aces' veteran buried his 7th goal of the season, a shortie at 1:03 by stripping the puck at the blueline and racing in, tucking the puck five-hole on Heeter.

Breton rediscovered his scoring touch in the third. One wrister in deep at 4:22, followed by a long-distance dial-up at 6:49, his second and third of the season to give Alaska a 7-2 lead. Both goals were assisted by Wallace and Tim Coffman.

Scott Czarnowczan scored for Toledo at 10:55 to make it 7-3, then Tylor Spink rapped one in for a 7-4 deficit.

Sivak completed his hat trick at 16:24, slipping a wrister low glove-side on Heeter for his league-leading 19th goal of the season from Perfetto and it was 8-4.

The Walleye tallied twice to complete the scoring. Rankin at 17:38 and Nolan Zajac at 19:59.

Toledo outshot Alaska 47-32 for the game. The Aces were 1 for 3 on the power play, the Walleye 4 for 9.

Carr finished with 41 saves, Heeter 24.

The Aces and Walleye complete their three-game series Sunday afternoon at 3:05pm Alaska time.
