
Moises Sierra Has Two Hits, RBI Double In 2-1 Loss

(Binghamton, NY)---Moises Sierra went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and Travis d'Arnaud had two hits, but the Fisher Cats dropped a 2-1 decision on Saturday night at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton.
Casey Janssen of the Toronto Blue Jays, on an MLB rehab assignment, worked his fourth consecutive scoreless, hitless, frame, retiring Binghamton in order in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Mets (37-57) scored first in the bottom of the first inning. Josh Satin walked, Allen Dykstra singled and Dusty Ryan doubled to put Binghamton up 1-0. Dykstra was thrown out at the plate by Moises Sierra trying to score another run.
Sierra knocked in the only run of the game for the Fisher Cats. Travis d'Arnaud led off the second inning with a single (extending his hit streak to 14 games) and scored on a double by Sierra to tie the game at 1-1.
Binghamton moved back in front in the bottom of the third inning. Eric Campbell singled and stole second, scoring on a single by Dykstra for a 2-1 lead.
Chad Beck (7-3) took the loss, allowing two runs on eight hits in four innings. He walked three and struck out three. Rey Gonzalez (1.2 IP) and Clint Everts (1.1 IP) worked scoreless relief for New Hampshire.
Collin McHugh (2-2) was the winner for Binghamton, allowing one run in six innings. He allowed five hits, walked two and struck out nine. Josh Stinson worked 1.2 scoreless and John Lujan picked up the save recording the final four hits.
The Fisher Cats and Mets meet for the final time this season on Sunday at 1:05pm.
New Hampshire's starter will be RHP Zach Stewart (4-5, 4.52) and RHP Tobi Stoner (4-3, 5.73) will go for the Mets. Live coverage can be heard on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network beginning at 12:45pm with Bob Lipman.
