Modern Woodmen Park to Host National Guard Send-Off

Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
The Alpha Company 2/BTSB 34th Iowa Division is leaving forAfghanistan and WE WANT YOU to show your American spirit and help give these brave men and women the send-off they deserve. This is the largest deployment of the Iowa National Guard since WWII and your support would be greatly appreciated.
Gates will open at 8:00am on Sunday August 1st. The send-off will feature special guyes speakers, beginning at 9:30. At noon the troops will load onto buses to begin their journey to Afghanistan!! Refreshments will be available through the Modern Woodmen Park concession stands. Inflatables in the Genesis Healthy Kids Zone for kids to play on will be up and running from 8-9:30. Entrance to this patriotic event is FREE!! Please help the River Bandits and the loyal families of these brave soldiers as we send them off on their journey in service to our great country!
