GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today that the club will loan midfielder Romario Ibarra to Liga MX team C.F. Pachuca for 13 months with an option to buy following the conclusion of the loan.
Ibarra, 24, began his youth career at Club Valle del Chota in his native Ecuador in 2006 before moving to Espoli and then Universidad Católica, where he made his professional debut in 2011. He spent time with Liga de Quito in 2013, but returned to Universidad Católica in 2014. With "Los Camaratas," he scored 16 goals in 131 matches. Since joining the Loons in July of 2018, Ibarra has five goals, two from early on in the 2019 season against the Vancouver Whitecaps and New York Red Bulls.
