Milwaukee Wave News Release
The MKE Wave outshot the Chicago Mustangs 23 to 18. Scoring 55 seconds into the first quarter and scoring his first goal of the season, #23 Victor Quiroz gave the Wave lead early, followed by 3 more first quarter Wave goals from #15 Tony Walls, #29 JC Banks and #26 Ian Bennett. Chicago found a way to score with 12 seconds left in the first.
"The guys came out with great energy, we got the jump on Chicago and kept it going," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "I don't think 8-5 was indicative, but I thought it was a very dominant performance tonight. I'm happy the way the guys played."
With the Mustangs only scoring 1 goal in the second quarter, the Wave added to their lead with two more goals from #26 Ian Bennett (second of the night) and #28 Jonathan Greenfield. The Wave led the Mustangs 6 to 2 into halftime.
Additional second half goals came from #28 Jonathan Greenfield (second of the night) and #29 JC Banks (second of the night.)
