Mitch Nay's Super Effort Leads Lookouts to 8-4 Win

Mitch Nay's four-hit effort led the Lookouts to a 8-4 win over the Tennessee Smokies.

The Lookouts strong offensive showing begain in the second inning when starting pitcher Scott Moss smacked a single to score infielder Calten Daal who reached on a triple. They added to their total in the third on a Nay RBI double, and a Tyler Stephenson RBI single.

Tennessee got on the board in the fifth inning on a Zack Short twiple and a sacrifice fly. The two runs marked the end of Scott Moss' night. The lefty finished only allow two runs in five innings while striking out eight batters.

Chattanooga answered back in the bottom of that frame with three runs, scored on a two-run Ibandel double and a bases loaded walk by Stuart Fairchild. In the sixth Mitch Nay sent a rocket over the left field fence for his ninth homer of the season. Nay is now hitting .311 on the year with 42 RBIs.

Relievers Aaron Fossas and Juan Martinez combined for four innings and three strikeouts. Tomorrow the team heads to Jacksonville to face the JumboShrimp. RHP Johendi Jiminian faces off against LHP Caleb Smith.
