LAST GAME: Pearl, Miss. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, failed to secure a base hit against Mississippi's Ian Anderson and Jeremy Walker on Friday, falling 2-0 at Trustmark Park. The Braves' combined no-hitter marks the first time that an opposing pitching staff has not allowed a hit to Jackson (42-37) as an Arizona affiliate, with the win giving Mississippi (39-39) the series victory.

TODAY'S PITCHING MATCHUP: In the series finale, the Generals' offense will get the backing of right-hander Justin Donatella, who will start for the first time since May 31 after 3 consecutive relief appearances. 88 of Donatella's 100 career appearances have come as a starter, and his return to a familiar role comes on the heels of a rough three-inning appearance against Mobile that featured three runs allowed. Mississippi will use left-hander Kyle Muller, a Southern League Midseason All-Star who tossed five innings at Biloxi last week while allowing a single run.

ANOTHER ONE TAKES THE BUS: On Thursday, former General Alex Young made his major league debut, throwing five innings against the San Francisco Giants to help the D-backs to a 5-1 victory at Oracle Park. Young, who pitched at Jackson in 2017 & 2018, is the third General of the Diamondbacks era to debut in Major League Baseball this month, and the eighth to make his debut this season.
