Ogden Raptors News Release

OGDEN - Missoula (18-12) scored three runs before the first out was recorded and led 10-0 in the sixth inning en route to a 10-6 win over Ogden (15-17) on Monday night. The Raptors have now lost three straight - all at home.

After a leadoff single and a walk in the top of the first inning, Luke Lowery launched a three-run home run off of Dennis Santana to give Missoula a 3-0 lead with no outs. Lowery finished the game 2-for-2 with three runs, three runs batted in, and two walks. He is now 9-for-10 with six runs and six RBI in the first three games of the series.

Austin Byler added a three-run home run off of Colin Hering in the fifth inning and the Osprey led 6-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning.

Ogden finally got on the board with an RBI single from Faustino Oguisten, who joined the Raptors on a rehab assignment from Tulsa. Ogden got three more runs in the eighth inning, thanks to three walks and a hit-by-pitch from Osprey reliever Will Lowman, but left the bases loaded when Willie Calhoun struck out. The Raptors plated two more runs in the ninth inning, but stranded two more runners when Gage Green was called out on strikes to end the ballgame, leaving the tying run - Scott De Jong - in the on-deck circle. Ogden struck out 14 times on the night and left 14 runners on base.

Dennis Santana (0-4) lost his second consecutive start and Anfernee Benitez (1-2) picked up his first win of the season.

The series finale on Tuesday night will feature Ogden's Jairo Pacheco (2-2) and Missoula's Yefrey Ramirez (2-0). First pitch is at 7:00pm MT at Lindquist Field.
