Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads have traded defenceman, Jacob Graves to the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for a 5thround pick in 2017.
Graves, a native of Barrie, Ontario was drafted by Mississauga in the 4th round, 76th overall at the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. Entering his 4th OHL season, Graves has appeared in 150 games, recording 14 points (12 goals, 2 assists), and adding 230 penalty minutes. The 6'2", 192 lb defenceman will join the Frontenacs blue line as they look to rebound from a first round playoff exit last season.
"Jacob has been a quality player and teammate with our organization. We wish him the best in the future," added Steelheads Head Coach and General Manager, James Boyd.
The Kingston Frontenacs have started the season off on the right foot, winning their first two games against Peterborough and Ottawa respectively. Graves will make his first appearance with Kingston next Friday, October 3rd as they host the Belleville Bulls at the K-Rock Centre.
