MIDLAND--The Missions suffered their 10th shutout of the season and fifth at the hands of the Rockhounds Thursday night in front of 4,582 at Security Bank Ballpark.
San Antonio dropped its fourth straight to match their season high. They have lost 13 of 19 and are a league-worst 15-26 since June 10.
Parker Frazier worked the first eight innings for Midland and Ryan Doolittle preserved the club's league-best 12th shutout of the season. The "Hounds have won 10 of the last 13 over the Missions.
The Missions were held to four hits, only one of which came after the third inning. Benji Gonzalez finished with a single and a double.
San Antonio has been blanked for 16 straight innings. They are a season-high 15 games under .500.
NOTES: This is the fifth time this season that the Missions have lost four in-a-row
