
Every Travs Starter Reaches Base in 5-3 Win

Tulsa, OK - The Arkansas Travelers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the Tulsa Drillers on Thursday night at ONEOK Field.
Trailing 1-0 in the fourth, the Travs scored twice thanks to singles from CF Chad Hinshaw and C Raywilly Gomez, a DH Blake Gailen RBI double and 1B Wade Hinkle sacrifice fly.
Arkansas tacked on two more runs in the sixth, all with two outs. After 3B Brian Hernandez walked on four pitches, Hinkle singled to center to put runners on first and second for SS Eric Stamets. Stamets grounded a ball inside the third base bag for a two-run double to put the Travs up 4-1. Stamets has 12 RBIs over his last seven games.
RHP Michael Brady (W, 5-4) tossed six strong innings for the Travs and surrendered just one run on five hits with no walks and five strikeouts.
An 3B Erisbel Arruebarrena double and C Kyle Farmer RBI single in the seventh cut the Drillers' deficit to 4-2, but Travs SS Drew Maggi responded with a two-out RBI single in the eighth to put Arkansas back up by three. RHP Kyle Winkler worked the seventh for the Travelers.
In the bottom of the eighth, RF Jeremy Rathjen led off the frame with a line drive home run to left off RHP Eduard Santos. After Santos walked the bases loaded with two outs, RHP Danny Reynolds (S, 4) was summoned from the bullpen and struck out Farmer who was 2-for-3 at the time.
Reynolds worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning to secure the save, his first since June 2.
Hinshaw and Maggi both finished with two hits for Arkansas.
Gailen, Hinkle and Hernandez each reached base twice with a hit and a walk apiece. Hernandez scored twice.
Every Travs starter reached base at least once.
Arkansas finished 3-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
With the win, the Travs remain two games behind the Springfield Cardinals in the second half standings and improved to 49-47 overall this season.
The Travelers and Drillers will play game two of the four-game series on Friday at ONEOK Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
