San Antonio Missions News Release
SPRINGDALE - The Naturals scored four times in the first three innings off starter Kyle Lloyd Tuesday night to take the series opener at Arvest Ballpark.
Lloyd was coming off a six-inning scoreless performance against the same Naturals' club in his previous start but allowed eight hits, including five extra base hits, in his three innings of work.
Four Missions relievers combined to blank NW Arkansas over the final five innings.
San Antonio's struggles at the plate continued, as the club was held to one run for the sixth time in nine games. They've scored two or fewer runs in 10 of the last 15.
Yeison Asencio and Nick Torres produced the only multi-hit efforst on the night for the team.
NOTES: Starting pitcher Luis Diaz (elbow) and OF Nick Schulz (wrist) were placed on the DL. Reliever Seth Simmons joined the club after being signed by the Padres last week. OF Mason Smith also joined the team from Low-A Ft. Wayne
NEXT: Missions RH Bryce Morrow (1-6, 6.39) at NW Arkansas LH Eric Skoglund (2-2, 4.14) 7:05 PM
