San Antonio Missions News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Missions continued a 5-game win streak Saturday night at Nelson Wolff Stadium with an 8-3 win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. The win puts San Antonio into a tie for first place in the Texas League Southern Division with the Midland Rockhounds.
San Antonio scored their first run of the night in the third inning with a home run into left center by catcher Ali Solis, for his first double-A home run. The Missions scored four runs in the fifth inning, sparked by a Beamer Weems sacrifice fly to take a 5-1 lead the Naturals. After avoiding a Naturals comeback in the sixth inning, Blake Tekotte recorded a two run homer, his second in two games, to advance the lead to 8-3. Brad Brach finished out the game by striking out the side in the ninth to secure the victory.
