
Miracles Lose Their Third Straight against the Express

(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles fell to the Windsor Express with a final score of 98-93.
The Miracles started strong and had an early 10-2 lead over the visiting Windsor Express, The Express would go on a 20-4 run to take control of the scoreboard with a 22-14. Moncton would end the first quarter down 22-19 to Windsor.
The second quarter was neck and neck. Miracles Daquan Brooks completed the three-point play late in the game to tie it up 39-39. Windsor would finish the half with a 41-39 lead. Troy Brewer led the way for the Miracles with 11 points. Chris Commons was the first half force for the Express with 8 points.
Miracles head coach Serge Langis received back-to-back technical fouls with 6:55 left in the third quarter and was ejected from the game. Windsor would put a push on and show why they are first place in the NBL Canada and finish the quarter with a strong 74-62 lead.
Chris Commons would be handed his sixth foul of the game with 1:16 left to play in the fourth, and send Miracles Dwayne Smith to line to complete the 3 point play and put them back in the game 94-89. Erik Parker would also receive his sixth foul late in the quarter.
Daquan Brooks led the way for the Miracles with 20 points while Troy Brewer added in with 17. Tramar Sutherland and Dwayne Smith each netted a double double, Smith with 14 and 11 and Sutherland with 12 and 10.
Chris Matthews and Zack Atkinson did not play due to injuries and are day to day. Technical fouls were handed out to Miracles Daquan Brooks and Express' Ryan Anderson.
Ryan Anderson was the force for the Express with 19 points. Kevin Loiselle had a double double against his old squad with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Miracles next home game is scheduled for Thursday, January 22nd against their 506 rivals the Saint John Mill Rats. Tip-off is 7pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
