VERO BEACH, Fla. - The Fort Myers Miracle defeated the St. Lucie Mets 7-3 in the sixth annual Jackie Robinson Celebration Game at Holman Stadium on Monday.
The game was played at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (formerly Historic Dodgertown) on the 72nd anniversary of Robinson breaking baseball's color barrier.
The Miracle held a 4-0 lead at the seventh inning stretch. The Mets put together a furious comeback, scoring three runs and loading the bases with one out in the bottom of the seventh. However, Miracle reliever Tom Hackimer got two fly outs to prevent the Mets from tying the game.

Quinn Brodey led the Mets at the plate. He went 2 for 3 with a double and reached base three times.
Miracle starting pitcher Randy Dobnak shut out the Mets over six innings to pick up the win.
The Miracle tagged Mets starter Kevin Smith for 11 hits and three runs. He suffered the loss.
Miracle leadoff Akil Baddoo went 3 for 4 with a home run and three runs scored. Twins top prospect Royce Lewis also collected three hits.
