Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release
FORT MYERS, FL (August 2, 2006) - Half way through the second half of the season, the Fort Myers Miracle sit just two games out of first place and are adding one of the top pitchers from the Midwest League, right-hander Oswaldo Sosa.
The 20-year-old Sosa was 9-7, 2.75 in 20 games with Single-A Beloit. In 117.2 innings he's walked 36 and struck out 95 while opponents are hitting .233 against him to go along with one complete game. He is currently ninth in the MWL in ERA. The 6'4, 225 pound righty was a non drafted free agent signee in 2002 out of Tovar, Merida, Venezuela.
The Miracle roster now stands at the maximum 25, 12 pitchers and 13 position players.
