Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release

FORT MYERS, FL (August 2, 2006) - Whether it's the loud noise, the amazing colors or just the sense of wonder, everyone seems to love fireworks. Miracle Baseball is credited with some of the best fireworks shows in Southwest Florida and will hold their fifth of six fireworks shows, the Summer Celebration Fireworks Extravaganza presented by TIB Bank and Cat Country WCKT on Saturday, August 12 at Hammond Stadium.

The Summer Fireworks Celebration will follow the game between the Miracle and their rivals, the Sarasota Reds. The fireworks show caps off a week long homestand that begins on Monday, August 7 against the Vero Beach Dodgers. The Miracle play four against the Dodgers and two against the Reds. Great promotions sprinkle the week with Couch Potato Night on August 10, where one lucky gentleman will walk away with a recliner and a new TV and Greens with Envy Night on August 11 where over 400 rounds of golf from Southwest Florida courses will be given out to fans throughout the night.

"Our home schedule has been amazing this year. We will pass 100,000 fans once again and with 14 home dates remaining this is a great time to come out to the ballpark, said Miracle General Manager Steve Gliner. "On top of the great promotions our club has played solid baseball all season long and once again we're in the thick of the playoff race."

Game time for the Summer Celebration Fireworks game presented by TIB Bank and WCKT is at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $7 for box seats and $5 for grandstand reserve and can be purchased by calling the Miracle office at 239-768-4210 or going on line to www.miraclebaseball.com.
