
Minnesota Wild Recalls Carson McMillan from Iowa

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Sunday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Carson McMillan from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
McMillan, 25 (9/10/88), has tallied six points (2-46) including one game-winning goal and a plus-4 rating in seven games with Iowa this season. He ranks tied for first on the team in scoring and plus-minus rating. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound native of Brandon, Man., has registered five points (2-35), a plus-2 rating and 11 penalty minutes (PIM) in 15 career NHL contests with Minnesota. He tallied 18 points (9-918), 31 PIM and a plus-4 rating in 64 games with Houston last season and ranked tied for third in the AHL with three shorthanded goals. McMillan skated in 11 NHL games with Minnesota in 2011-12 and notched three points (1-23). He appeared in four games with the Wild in 2010-11 and scored his first-career NHL goal in his NHL debut at Detroit on April 3, 2011 (Jimmy Howard). McMillan was originally selected by the Wild in the seventh-round (No. 200 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill also announced that defenseman Corbin Baldwin has been recalled from loan to the Quad City Mallards, Iowa's Central Hockey League affiliate. The rookie defender has played in three games for Iowa, going scoreless with 14 penalty minutes. He scored one goal in the Mallards 4-3 loss at home Saturday night to Brampton, his only appearance with Quad City.
Iowa rounds out its five-game homestand on Sunday, Nov. 3 with the Milwaukee Admirals. Fans may purchase the Subway Family Four Pack for the game, which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and Subway coupons starting at $44.
