Minnesota Wild Reassigns Tyson Strachan to Iowa

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher tonight announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Tyson Strachan (pronounced STRACK-in) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

    Strachan, 31 (10/30/84), was recalled by Minnesota on Dec. 9 and did not appear in a game. He has recorded two assists and 34 penalty minutes (PIM) in 26 games with Iowa this season. Strachan tallied five assists and 44 PIM in 46 games with the Buffalo Sabres last season and set career highs in games played, points, assists, PIM, blocked shots (105) and TOI/game (18:59).
