Minnesota Wild Reassigns Kurtis Gabriel and Gustav Olofsson to Iowa

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher tonight announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Kurtis Gabriel and defenseman Gustav Olofsson (pronounced GOO-stahv OH-lawf-suhn) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Gabriel, 22 (4/20/93), has recorded 10 penalty minutes (PIM) in three games with Minnesota this season and made his NHL debut on Nov. 10 against Winnipeg. The 6-foot-4, 212-pound native of Newmarket, Ont., has tallied two points (1-12) and 45 penalty minutes (PIM) in 15 games with Iowa this season.

Olofsson, 20 (12/1/94), has skated in two games with Minnesota this season and made his NHL debut at Boston on Nov. 19. The 6-foot-3, 197-pound native of Boras, Sweden, has recorded three assists and 30 shots on goal in 21 games with Iowa this season.
