CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors host their 17th annual Teddy Bear Toss, tonight against the Stockton Heat. Doors open at 6 p.m., the puck drops at 7 p.m. Over 95,000 stuffed animals have been collected in the event's history. **A large crowd is expected; it is strongly advised that you do not wait until tonight to purchase your tickets.
GAME: Bakersfield Condors (Edmonton Oilers) v. Stockton Heat (Calgary Flames)
PROMOTION: Teddy Bear Toss - bring a stuffed animal to the game and when the Condors score their first goal, throw it onto the ice. The teddy bears will be donated to local charities throughout Kern County by the United Way. The game is sponsored by Eyewitness News, KERN 1180 AM/96.1 FM and Three Way Chevrolet-Cadillac.

TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors take on the Stockton Heat in the tail end of a home-and-home this holiday weekend. The Condors picked up a 6-5 victory last night in the North end of the Central Valley. RW Andrew Miller potted a pair of tallies, while D Joey LaLeggia (1g-2a) and C Kyle Platzer (1g-2a) each had three-point nights in the win.
100,000 TEDDY BEARS
Since 1999, the Condors Teddy Bear has collected 95,567 stuffed animals, and should surpass the 100,000 mark tonight. Since 2007-08, the event has collected at least 6,200 bears a season, and over 40 different agencies received a portion of the bounty last year. Also popular at the gate, over 8,000 fans have attended in each of the last 11 seasons, and Teddy Bear Toss has been the largest crowd of the season in 11 of the last 13 campaigns.
REINHART ASSIGNED
D Griffin Reinhart was assigned to Condorstown today from the Edmonton Oilers, and he is expected to play tonight. Drafted 4th overall by the New York Islanders in 2012, Reinhart was acquired by the Oilers on draft day this past summer and has skated in 12 games with Edmonton this season. His rookie season in 2014-15 was spent mainly in the AHL with Bridgeport.
CONDORS NOTES
G Laurent Brossoit made a season-high 44 saves last night in Stockton... The Condors power play went 3-for-3 last night, the fourth time this season they have recorded multiple power play tallies in a game... D Brad Hunt picked up a pair of assists last night and is now tied for 7th in the AHL in scoring among blueliners (4g-10a-14pts)... Nearly half - 19 - of the Condors 40 goals this season have come in the first period.
