Minnesota Recalls Reilly, Assigns Graovac to Iowa

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Monday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Mike Reilly from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). Minnesota also announced forward Tyler Graovac (pronounced GRAY-oh-vack) has been reassigned to Iowa.
Reilly, 22 (7/13/93), has played in four games with Minnesota this season, including his NHL debut in a 2-1 victory in Dallas on Jan. 9, before being reassigned to Iowa on Jan. 17. The 6-foot-2, 191-pound blueliner leads Iowa defensemen with 21 points (5-16=21), including three power-play goals, in 40 games this season. Last season, he collected 42 points (6-36=42) in 39 games during his junior season at the University of Minnesota and was named a Hobey Baker Memorial Award Finalist while leading all NCAA defensemen in scoring and assists. Reilly was signed by the Wild as a free agent on July 1, 2015 and wears sweater No. 4 with Minnesota.
Graovac, 22 (4/27/93), recorded two shots, one hit and won 4-of-7 faceoffs in 9:36 TOI during the Wild's loss in St. Louis Saturday after being recalled from Iowa earlier in the day. The 6-foot-5, 212-pound native of Brampton, Ont., has skated in two games with Minnesota this season and totaled seven points (2-5=7) in 19 games with Iowa. He underwent successful bilateral core muscle repair surgery on Nov. 3. He is in his third AHL with Iowa and ranks as the all-time team leader with 155 games played, 36 goals and 78 points. He ranks second all-time with 42 assists during his tenure in Iowa.
The Wild returns home next weekend for a pair of games against the Grand Rapids Griffins, beginning with Pink in the Rink on Friday, Feb. 12. Iowa is teaming up with Susan G. Komen of Iowa to raise awareness for breast cancer with Pink in the Rink Night. The team will don pink-in-the-rink themed jerseys and the first 1,000 fans will receive pink t-shirts courtesy of 107.5 KISS FM. Fans are encouraged to wear all pink to the game for a pink out. Friday's game includes a shootout challenge and ceremonial-puck drop with breast cancer survivors. A special lighting ceremony is also planned for all survivors and those who have perished. The Wild will also be hosting a postgame jersey auction following the game. Friday is a $2 beer night, sponsored by 100.3 The Bus. The "Bring Your Buds Bundle" is also available for purchase, including one ticket, one 16 oz. Budweiser or Bud Light at the game, one hotdog, one popcorn, $1 off a Budweiser or Bud Light 25 oz. can during the Wild game, and one free beer at Carl's Place following the game. The Wild and Griffins faceoff again on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. Saturday is Crash's Birthday and the team is hosting a Mascot Party and Super Hero Day, sponsored by NASH FM and NASH ICON. The first 1,500 fans receive a super hero poster. The team concludes the evening with a postgame mascot autograph session. Fans are encouraged to bring their own skates for a free postgame skate, courtesy of Grip-Tite Foundation Repair. Saturday is also Ladies Night, presented by Jim Beam and NASH FM. Ladies Night deals include $1 off glasses of wine, $5 for a regular Beam Orchard Twist, and $10 for the Beam Orchard Twist in a mason jar. "Bring Your Buds Bundle" packages will also be available for purchase.
Fans may purchase single-game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website - www.Iowawild.com , the Wells Fargo Arena box office or participating Hy-Vee food stores. Tickets are available online at www.Iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area. The Iowa Wild 2015-16 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April.
