
Minnesota Lynx Waive Navonda Moore

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced they have waived guard Navonda Moore. The Lynx originally signed Moore as an undrafted free agent on April 19, 2007 out of Alabama. Moore was then re-signed for the 2008 season on Feb. 21, 2009.
Moore, a 5-10 guard, averaged 2.0 ppg and 0.9 rpg in 35 career games with the Lynx. Moore averaged 3.0 ppg and 0.9 rpg for Minnesota in 2008. The Jackson, Miss., native scored a career-high 11 points Sept. 14, 2008 at Washington.
The Minnesota Lynx open their 11th year of basketball in the Twin Cities on June 6, 2009 vs. the Chicago Sky at Target Center.
