Sylvia Fowles scored a team-high 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and added eight rebounds and one block by the half. She did not re-enter the game following the half. In 2021, Syl scored 16 or more points in the first half in five regular season games.
Coming off the bench and in her first WNBA game since 2019, Yvonne Turner tallied 12 points, connecting on a perfect 3-of-3 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line in 16:46 minutes of play. She added two assists, two rebounds and one steal.
Natalie Achonwa contributed five points, five rebounds and two assists in 16:45 minutes of play as a starter in tonight's game. Achonwa started in one regular season game during the 2021 season.
Rennia Davis saw her first playing time for Minnesota since she underwent surgery for a stress fracture in her foot which sidelined her for the entire 2021 season. She contributed four points on 2-of-5 shooting in 09:22 minutes played.
Kayla Jones and Hannah Sjerven logged their first minutes with the Lynx after being drafted as the 22nd and 28th overall picks in the 2022 WNBA Draft respectively. Jones finished the night with six points, connecting on two of the three made triples from Minnesota. She added three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. Sjerven contributed four points and hauled in six rebounds.
Team Notes
Minnesota outrebounded Washington 42-39, with the Lynx converting for 13 second chance points.
Minnesota got to the foul line 31 times, connecting on 25 baskets (80.6 shooting percentage).
The Lynx host the Las Vegas Aces in their final preseason game at Target Center on Sunday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. CT.

Elena Delle-Donne led all scorers with 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field, including three shots from deep. She added four rebounds, one assist and one steal.
