Milwaukee Wave Escapes Snow for a Weekend Full of Florida Soccer
January 17, 2019 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE, WI. - The Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave is on the road to take on a weekend full of Florida soccer. The Wave will match up with both the Florida Tropics, and the Orlando SeaWolves.
First kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, January 19th at 6:05pm CST (Milwaukee time). The Florida Tropics will host the Milwaukee Wave at the RP Funding Center.
To finish off their weekend, the Orlando SeaWolves will host the Milwaukee Wave at the Silver Spurs Arena on Monday, January 21st. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:35pm CST (Milwaukee time).
"We recovered well from the loss against Kansas City and I think it's made us a better team," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "We know it's diffucult to win on the road in the MASL and we can't take either Florida team lightly this weekend."
The Wave is coming off a weekend of back to back home games with their first loss of the season against the Kansas City Comets this past Saturday (Final Score 6-7). The Wave turned it around less than 24 hours later to defeat the St. Louis Ambush 7-1.
"We're going to put our best foot forward this weekend," said Oliviero. "If we make it about ourselves and prepare the best we can, there's a good chance we're going to come out on top."
The Wave is still the front runner for the South-Central Division in the Major Arena Soccer League with their overall record being 7-1.
You can watch both games this weekend LIVE and for FREE via MASLtv at MASLSoccer.com.
The Milwaukee Wave will be back home at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Saturday, January 26th to take on the Mississauga MetroStars.
