Free Tickets for Next Two Tropics Home Games Available to Government Workers During Shutdown
January 17, 2019 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Florida Tropics SC News Release
LAKELAND, Fla - Fans of the Florida Tropics who work for the U.S. Government - and any government worker at the state, county or city level - can watch the team for free each of the next two Saturdays.
In recognizing the hardships being brought on by an unprecedented government shutdown, workers can claim up to four free tickets to this Saturday's game against the South Central Division leading Milwaukee Wave, and up to an additional four free tickets for the Saturday, Jan. 26 divisional showdown with the St. Louis Ambush.
Kickoff for both games is at 7:05 p.m. at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
"We fully appreciate that some of our fans who might otherwise be in the stands to cheer on our local professional soccer team are facing difficult times and decisions about how and where to spend their money right now," noted team CEO Dr. Panos Iakovidis. "We wanted to give them the chance to come enjoy an evening of entertainment and action that indoor soccer provides. Our fans are vital to our success, and we don't want this shutdown to keep them away from our games."
Tickets can be claimed online by going to www.fltropics.com/government-employees-tickets.
