The Sockers come into the match with a 1 game lead over Tacoma in the Pacific Division. Boris Pardo tops the league in GAA (3.39), save per- centage (.773) and wins (8).
When the Tacoma Stars (5-4) and San Diego Sockers (8-1) meet Friday night, the MASL leading scorer, Tacoma's Nick Perera (27 points) and statistical best goalkeeper, San Diego's Boris Pardo will match up for the second time this season. The first ended in Tacoma's first win ever in San Diego, a 5-4 victory on December 22.
Perera leads the Stars in goals scored with 11. Philip Lund is right behind with 10 goals and 13 points. The other Star in double-digit point production is Mike Ramos and his 13 points (5G-8). 17 different Tacoma players have scored goals this season.
The Sockers leading scorers are Kraig Chiles with 19 points (13G-6A) and Brandon Escoto with 17 (9G-8A).
