Miller Returns in New Role

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Aaron Miller has returned to the Loons after playing for the team in 2009. But the former left-handed pitcher will now be used in a new role.

Millwer was drafted by the Dodgers with the 36th overall choice out of Baylor in 2009 and was a key member of the pitching rotation, going 3-1 with a 2.08 ERA in seven starts. Last year, he made 25 starts for Double-A Chattanooga, going 6-6 with a 4.45 ERA, and this year with Chattanooga, he was 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA. Over five seasons as a left-handed pitcher in the Dodgers organization, Miller went 20-19 with a 4.03 ERA in 82 games.

Now, Miller returns to the Loons as an outfielder. He played two ways in college. With Chattanooga between 2010 and this year, Miller went a combined 11-for-47 (.234) at the plate as a pitcher and occasional pinch hitter with two doubles, two triples, one homer, nine RBIs and two walks.
