Potomac Nationals News Release
WOODBRIDGE, VA (www.potomacnationals.com) - Mike O'Meara of the popular nationally syndicated "Don and Mike" radio program on WJFK will sing the national anthem on July 29 when the Potomac Nationals face the Winston-Salem Warthogs at 7:05 p.m.
"We heard Mike say that he wanted to sing the anthem before a game," said Potomac Nationals General Manager Bobby Holland. "So we called him and he's just as excited as we are."
In addition, Mike will also throw out the first pitch before the game.
Don and Mike have been on the airwaves in the DC area for quite some time and the Nationals are proud to welcome such a distinguished member of the broadcasting community to the park.
Following the game, fireworks will light up the night skies high above Pfitzner Stadium.
