Mike Lee Shuffled to Portland

DULUTH, Ga. - The Portland Pirates, AHL affiliate of the Gladiators, announced that goaltender Mike Lee has been recalled to Portland on Wednesday.

Lee, 24, played in 17 games with the Gladiators this season, picking up four wins, a 3.54 goals-against average, and a .895 save percentage. Of those four wins, Lee picked up three wins in his last five starts. In those wins, Lee registered a .931 save percentage, and a 1.94 GAA.

This will be Lee's third call-up to the AHL this year. In two previous appearances with the Pirates this season, the Roseau, Minnesota native had a 3.41 GAA and a .848 save percentage. His best season with Portland came in 2012-13, when he appeared in 16 games, winning nine of them, with a 2.72 GAA and a .915 SV%.

This is Lee's third professional season after being drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the third round (91st overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
