PRINCETON, N.J. - Fort Wayne Komets' goaltender Roman Will is the CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month for April.

The 22-year-old went 4-1-0 with a 1.75 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage in five appearances during the month.

A native of Pilsen, Czech Republic, Will allowed two goals or less and made at least 25 saves in four of his five appearances.

Will, who was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team last week, led first-year goaltenders, and was tied for fifth overall in the league, with a 2.41 goals-against average while ranking third with a .921 save percentage.

Under contract with the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League, Will appeared in 20 games last season with Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic where we went 16-4-0 with a 1.84 goals-against average. During the 2011-12 season, he played with Moncton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he was named to the QMJHL First All-Star Team with a 29-25-7 record, a 2.77 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.

Runners Up: Dane Fox, Kalamazoo (6 gp, 6g, 1a, 7 pts.) and Shane Berschbach, Toledo (6 gp, 0g, 9a, 9 pts.).

Also Nominated: Zack Kamrass (Idaho), Dennis Brown (Ontario), Brady Vail (Orlando), Matt Neal (Quad City), Alex Krushelnyski (Utah) and Derek Army (Wheeling).
