Mignardi Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week

The Owen Sound Attack has announced that overage forward Robby Mignardi is the team's Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the week ending Sunday, December 11th, 2010. Mignardi, a Richmond Hill native stepped up huge in the absence of several key players over the weekend.

After being held scoreless in Kitchener on Friday night, Mignardi got on the right track Saturday against the Otters netting two goals while adding an assist to go along with a +3 rating in a 6-1 Attack win.

Mignardi once again showed up when called upon on Sunday afternoon against the Kitchener Rangers. Mignardi scored the game tying goal with under 8 minutes left in the third period and poked in the overtime winner with 45 seconds left in the extra frame to give the Attack a 4-3 OT win en route to being named the games first star.

Mignardi finished the weekend with 4 goals and 2 assists and a +1 rating.

The Attack is back in action on home ice this Saturday, December 18th when they play host to former Attack first rounder Steven Shipley and the Niagara Ice Dogs. A reminder to fans that the Stanley Cup will be present that evening at the Bayshore with opportunities for pictures in the South Concourse throughout the evening. Game time is 7:30pm.
