Storm Makes Coaching Change
December 13, 2010 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Guelph Storm News Release
Guelph Storm General Manager Mike Kelly announced today that Jason Brooks is being relieved of his Head Coaching duties.
"Jason is an outstanding person and a very good hockey coach, however at this time I thought a change was necessary to improve our chances for success this year," stated Kelly.
"Anyone that has worked with Jason on a daily basis knows how hard he works and respects his coaching abilities. We wish to thank him for the class and dignity with which he handled adversity during the past two seasons. Jason has never blamed others or made excuses, he just continued to work hard and always put the Guelph Storm first. When given another head coaching opportunity, I believe Jason can be very successful."
A member of the Storm coaching staff since the 2001-02 season, Jason has been offered another position in the organization.
A search for a new coach will begin immediately. In the interim, Mike Kelly will be behind the bench for the three games this weekend.
