
Mighty Ducks Name Hankinson Captain

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks named Casey Hankinson captain. Chris Armstrong and Todd Reirden will be alternate captains for the 2003-2004 season.
"Casey epitomizes everything you want in a captain," Ducks head coach Brad Shaw said. "He's a great example for all the blue chip prospects the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim have assigned to Cincinnati this season."
Hankinson, 27, is entering his first season with Cincinnati after spending the past five seasons in the Chicago Blackhawks organization. A native of Edina, Minnesota, the 6-foot-1, 187-pound Hankinson had a team-leading 27 goals and 28 assists in 78 games with Norfolk of the American Hockey League last season. He was signed as a free agent by Anaheim, July 25, 2003.
Armstrong is entering his ninth professional season and first with Cincinnati, having played 575 professional games, including 367 games in the AHL with Bridgeport, Carolina, Hershey and Kentucky. He was signed as a free agent by Anaheim, June 26, 2003.
Reirden is entering his second season with Cincinnati and 10th in professional hockey. He has played in 584 professional games, including 176 NHL games with Atlanta, Edmonton and St. Louis. Reirden was signed as a free agent by Anaheim, July 17, 2002.
