HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with United Disabilities Services that the team is selling a 2004 calendar at GIANT Center to benefit New Life Assistance Dogs and the HERSHEY BEARS Foundation.

The calendar features BEARS players and staff in candid photos with New Life dogs in training around GIANT Center. Included in the calendar include goaltender Peter Budaj, right wing Gavin Morgan, left wing Travis Brigley, defenseman Marc Busenburg, left wing Brad Larsen, right wing Shane Willis, center Steve Moore, defenseman Brett Clark, center Charlie Stephens, left wing Jordan Krestanovich, and also head coach Paul Fixter, assistant coach Paul Jerrard, and broadcaster John Walton.

New Life Assistance Dogs promotes the success through the magic of the human/animal bond. The goal of New Life Assistance Dogs is to enable persons with disabilities to live a more independent life through the use of a service dog. The calendar will sell for $10, and be available beginning on Saturday, October 18 at GIANT Center.

HERSHEY opens its 66th AHL season on Saturday against the Syracuse Crunch at 7:30. Air time with John Walton on BIG 92.7 FM is 7:10 p.m. The BEARS open up the home portion of the 2003-04 season on Saturday, October 18th at GIANT Center. Season ticket information is available by calling 520-5796. Several different season ticket plans are available. Group ticket information for the October 18th home opener and all Bears home games is available by calling 534-3323.
