Beloit, WI (9/3/09) --- Dan Jennings, Grounds Crew Supervisor for the Great Lakes Loons, along with his staff, have been selected as the recipients of the 2009 Midwest League Sports Turf Manager/Grounds Crew of the Year Award! They have been recognized for their professionalism in providing a first-rate playing surface at Dow Diamond, Midland, Michigan, making them a respected leader in the Sports Turf industry.
This prestigious award was based on quality of playing surface, playability and texture of infield skin, preparation of field, condition of infield and outfield turf, quality of pitching mounds, home plate, and bullpens. Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball present this award.
