Michael Dal Colle Traded to the Kingston Frontenacs

Oshawa ON. - The Oshawa Generals announced on Friday that the team has traded left-winger and captain Michael Dal Colle to the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for Robbie Burt, two 2nd round draft picks one in 2017 and one in 2019 as well as two 3rd round draft picks one in 2018 and one in 2022.

"Michael has done it all for this club," says Roger Hunt Vice President and General Manager of the Oshawa Generals. "He has served as an assistant captain, a captain and has led this team to the 2015 Memorial Cup."

The Woodbridge, ON native was first selected 7th overall by the Oshawa Generals in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. In four seasons with the Generals, Dal Colle has accumulated 80 penalty minutes, 104 goals and 157 assists for 261 points in only 216 games, putting him 15th on the Oshawa Generals All-Time Points list. The New York Islander's 5th overall pick in 2014 has also picked up 56 points in the playoffs in 42 games.

On October 1st, 2015 Dal Colle was named captain of the Oshawa Generals following the footsteps of Josh Brown and Boone Jenner.

"On the other side of saying goodbye to a player we are also welcoming in a new player as Robbie Burt will be joining the Oshawa Generals says Roger Hunt Vice President and General Manager of the Oshawa Generals. Burt was the 11th overall pick in the OHL priority selection in the '99 draft. He will add to an already impressive '99 class."

Robbie Burt is a 6'0, 209 lbs right-winger from Hillsburgh, ON. Drafted 11th overall by the Kingston Frontenacs in the 2015 OHL priority selection, Burt has played in 24 games for the Frontenacs this season picking up two goals and two assists for four points.

Last year Burt played for the Mississauga Rebels picking up 53 points, 26 goals, and 27 assists in 64 games.
