Mets Option RHP D.J. Carrasco to Bisons

The New York Mets today announced that they have optioned RHP D.J. CARRASCO to the Bisons.

Carrasco, 34, has pitched in seven games with the Mets this season, making one start. The Hasslet, TX-native is 0-1 with a 5.23ERA with six strikeouts in 10.1 innings of work. Carrasco will work in the Bisons rotation.

Carrasco was 3-2 with a 3.67ERA in 63 relief appearances with the Pirates and the Diamondbacks last season. He last pitched in the International League with Charlotte in 2008, going 2-1 with a 2.88ERA in eight games with the Knights.
