JUPITER, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets completed a three-game sweep of the Palm Beach Cardinals with an 8-2 victory on Wednesday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

The Mets offense produced 15 hits a day after recording just three hits in their 3-0 win on Tuesday. Wagner Lagrange, Manny Rodriguez and Jeremy Vasquez all had three-hit games.

Edgardo Fermin launched a majestic three-run homer, his first in the FSL, in the third inning to increase the Mets lead to 4-0.

The Cardinals got a pair of runs back in the home third inning on Luken Baker's single that made it 4-2. The Mets dominated the rest of the way.

Lagrange hit a bases loaded infield single to drive in a run in the fifth. Matt Winaker's RBI grounder in the seventh plated Rodriguez for a 6-2 lead.

The Mets added two insurances runs in the ninth on a Cody Bohanek sac fly and a Jacob Zanon RBI single.

Rodriguez scored three runs. Fermin drove in three runs and had two hits. Lagrange notched two RBI.

Mets starter Joe Cavallaro earned the win. He allowed two runs in five innings of work. He walked three, struck out five and threw 80 pitches.

Mets relievers Carlos Hernandez, Briam Campusano and Marcel Renteria did not allow a hit or a run in the final four innings.

The Cardinals did not have a hit after Julio Rodriguez's leadoff double in the fourth.

The Mets have won four in a row and six of their last seven.

The Mets (24-12, 56-46) continue their road trip on Friday with a visit to the Bradenton Marauders. Friday's game at LECOM Park is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
