
Mercury Signs Liz Dixon to a Seven-Day Contract, Jennie Simms Waived

PHOENIX - The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury has signed forward Liz Dixon to a seven-day contract and waived guard Jennie Simms, the team announced today.
A 6-5 rookie out of Louisville, Dixon returns to the Mercury after being signed to a hardship contract and appearing in one game for Phoenix at the start of the season. Dixon, who participated in 2023 training camp with the Mercury, played four years at Louisville, appearing in 134 games and averaging 5.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Simms appeared in six games with the Mercury this season, averaging 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds. Simms spent 2023 training camp with Phoenix and appeared in 24 games with the team in 2022.
