
Memphis Hustle to Hold Open Tryout Session at Christian Brothers University this Saturday, September 21

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Hustle, the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, will hold the first of two open player tryouts for the upcoming 2019-20 season this Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Canale Arena on the campus of Christian Brothers University (2440 Central Ave, Memphis, TN 38104). Doors will open for registration at 9 a.m. Head coach Jason March will be available to the media at approximately 11 a.m.
Players who participate in the open tryouts will be observed and evaluated by members of the Memphis Hustle and Memphis Grizzlies basketball operations staffs. Last season, Memphis native Nino Johnson and Jay-R Strowbridge participated in the tryouts and joined the team for training camp. They later rejoined the team during the season and played key roles in the franchise's first playoff victory.
Detailed information about the tryouts, registration forms and payment options and instructions are available online at http://memphishustle.com/hustle-tryouts-2019. For advance registrations completed online prior to the registration deadline, the fee is $175. The fee increases to $225 for walk-up registrations. Pre-registration will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, for the Memphis tryout. Pre-registration will be capped at 60 participants for the day, so those who plan to pre-register are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. Those wishing to do walk-up registration can pay by cash, credit card and cashier's check, but not by personal check. All applicants must be eligible to play in the NBA G League per the qualifications listed online and complete the required paperwork. Additionally, all participants will receive a T-shirt with registration. All registrations are non-refundable. A second session of open player tryouts will occur on Sept. 28 in Southaven, Miss., at DeSoto Central High School.
Fans who want to support the Memphis Hustle by purchasing 2019-20 Season Tickets can do so by calling (901) 888-HOOP and pressing 6. Season Ticket Packages in the lower bowl start at just $10 per game and feature multiple Season Ticket Member benefits, including member discounts on gear and merchandise, playoff ticket priority for both the Memphis Hustle and Memphis Grizzlies, invitations to select Grizzlies games during the 2019-20 season and more. All-inclusive floor seats and tables are still available, with other ticket packages announced at a later date. Additionally, the Memphis Hustle are accepting $50 deposits for groups of 15-or-more. Single Game Tickets will be available for purchase starting this fall at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com, the Landers Center Box Office, online at memphishustle.com or by calling (901) 888-HOOP.
