Pelicans Announce BayHawks Basketball Operations Staff for 2019-20 Season

NEW ORLEANS -Â The New Orleans Pelicans today announced the basketball operations staff for their NBA G League affiliate, the Erie BayHawks, for the 2019-20 season. Marc Chasanoff will take the reigns as general manager, while Billy Campbell will serve as assistant general manager. Rounding out the staff are Perry Huang, video coordinator; Royal Milton III, athletic trainer; Lee Applequist, strength and conditioning coach; and Dillon McGowan, equipment manager.
A Bradenton, Fla. native, Chasanoff enters his tenth season with the Pelicans and his first as senior director of basketball operations. Previously, Chasanoff served as a basketball operations assistant, assistant video coordinator, pro scout, coordinator of pro player personnel and director of pro player personnel with New Orleans. Chasanoff attended undergrad at Flager College, where he received his bachelor's degree in sport management and business administration.
A four-year guard for the University of Virginia, Campbell began his career in the NBA right out of college, working as a basketball operations and coaches assistant for the Washington Wizards. Campbell has also spent multiple years in scouting, working with Synergy Sports Technology and EV Hoops as a personnel scout. The Atlanta, Ga. local comes to Erie with five years of NBA G League service, working as a coordinator of basketball operations with the league office and, most recently, acting as the Texas Legends' director of basketball operations for the 2018-19 season.
Huang joins the BayHawks having experience working at the collegiate, G League, international and WNBA level. A graduate of Fresno Pacific University, Huang served as an assistant men's basketball coach for four years with Cal State San Marcos and Monterey Peninsula College. Huang is coming fresh off of stints with the Northern Arizona Suns of the NBA G League and Seattle Storm of the WNBA, working as an assistant coach and video coordinator, respectively, for those teams. The Monterey, Calif. native has also spent time as an advanced scout with the Suns and BC Prievidza of the Slovak Extraliga.
Milton III begins his tenure with Erie after serving as the assistant athletic trainer for the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he received his masters of education. The New Orleans, La. native also comes with multiple years of professional sports experience, having worked as an athletic training intern with the New Orleans Saints and an associate athletic trainer for the Orlando Magic.
Having received a doctorate in physical therapy at Utica College in 2016, Applequist comes to Erie with a variety of roles in the physical therapy industry. Applequist has worked as a student physical therapist for the Cincinnati Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center, as well as an athletic training intern with the Kansas City Chiefs. A local of Coopersburg, Pa., Applequist attended East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate degree.
Prior to his time in Erie, McGowan spent the 2018-19 season as a video coordinator for Northern Arizona before heading back to Louisiana as an equipment assistant with New Orleans.
