Memphis 901 FC Announces 2022 Regular Season Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Memphis 901 FC has unveiled its full regular-season schedule for the 2022 United Soccer League Championship campaign, featuring 17 home matches at AutoZone Park from March 12-Oct. 15. The schedule features numerous regional rivalries and Memphis' first ever cross-conference match-ups with four clubs among those on the 34-match slate.

Twelve of Memphis 901 FC's 17 home matches are scheduled for weekend dates, including the first two matches of the season on Saturday, March 12 vs. Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Saturday, March 19's first ever visit to AutoZone Park by Oakland Roots SC in a cross-conference match.

The 2022 schedule is highlighted by home-and-home series with each Eastern Conference club including regional rivals Birmingham Legion FC, Louisville City FC, Atlanta United 2, FC Tulsa and Indy Eleven.

Memphis 901 FC welcomes the 2021 Eastern Conference Champion Tampa Bay Rowdies to Memphis on April 27 and travels to Tampa on July 2. Newcomer, Detroit City FC makes its debut in Memphis on June 25, and Memphis visits Detroit on April 2. Memphis and Birmingham will face off for the first time on June 8 in Birmingham with the return trip to Memphis on August 20.

Also scheduled to visit AutoZone Park as members of the Eastern Conference are 2018 USL Cup quarterfinalist Miami FC, Charleston Battery, and Hartford Athletic.

Eight matches are against Western Conference opponents with four making their first appearance in Memphis: LA Galaxy II (May 18), Phoenix Rising FC (July 9), Rio Grande Valley FC Toros (October 5) and the previously mentioned Oakland Roots (March 19). Memphis will travel out west to take on the defending 2022 USL Cup Champions, Orange County SC (September 3), Las Vegas Lights (March 26), New Mexico United (August 17) and Colorado Springs Switchbacks (April 16).

Game times for the 2022 Season will be announced in the coming weeks.

Every match of the season will be available live on ESPN+ except for those that air on ESPN or ESPN2. The 2022 USL on ESPN broadcast schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

2022 USL Championship Playoffs

At the conclusion of the regular season on Oct. 15, the top seven teams in each conference will qualify for the 2022 USL Championship Playoffs. The first overall seed in each conference will receive a bye to the Conference Semifinals of the playoffs. The bracket will be reseeded following the Conference Quarterfinals to ensure the first overall seed in each conference plays against the lowest-seeded remaining opponent.

The USL Championship Playoffs will remain a single-elimination format, culminating in the 2022 USL Championship Final on a to-be-determined date between Nov. 10 and Nov. 14, 2022.
