Meet the Team, Win a House

July 9, 2004 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Dayton Dragons News Release

DAYTON, OH— Saturday, July 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Dayton Dragons are hosting the fourth of five Beazer Home Run Weekends. Dragons fans of all ages will have the opportunity to meet and get autographs from select players and the Dragons mascots, Heater and Gem. Dragons fans can also enter a contest for a chance to win a brand new house.

Everyone in the Miami Valley is invited to attend an Open House event at the fourth of this season's five Beazer Model Home autograph sessions. Saturday's open house will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stanfield Place in Troy. For each home run hit by a Dragons player this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Dragons will draw a name from the entries submitted at the Stanfield Place model home. At the end of the season, each finalist will receive a key. If that key unlocks the door to the special "Dragons Beazer Home Run House," Heater will be waiting inside to hand over a check for $150,000 towards the purchase of a Beazer Home.

"This is one of the most unique promotions that we have ever done," stated Dragons President Robert Murphy. "This is a great opportunity for our fans to get up close and personal with our players and mascots. Not to mention a chance at winning a beautiful new Beazer Home. It's a win, win situation."

Directions from Downtown Dayton: Take I-75 North to Exit 74 (Troy / SR 41). Turn left off the exit ramp, and travel West on SR 41 for ½ mile. Turn left at the light at Stanfield Road and go South. Continue for approximately one mile, and you will enter the Stanfield Place community. The model home will be straight ahead.
