Hitmen visit the Tigers Saturday to open a five-game road trip
Calgary, AB - Mark Rassell netted a pair of goals to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 4-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The victory was the third straight for the Tigers who snapped Calgary's two-game winning streak.
Jaeger White and Kristians Rubins also scored for the visitors. It was the Rubins marker 2:30 into the third period that snapped a 2-2 tie.
Jakob Stukel and Luke Coleman replied for the Hitmen who built leads of 1-0 and 2-1.
The Central Division-leading Tigers outshot Calgary 30-25 in their first of six regular season meetings with the rematch tomorrow, Saturday, November 11 in Medicine Hat. It will be the start of a five-game road trip with additional stops in Brandon (Nov. 14), Regina (Nov. 15), Moose Jaw (Nov. 17) and Swift Current (Nov. 18).
The next Hitmen home game is Wednesday, Nov. 22, when they welcome Cody Glass and the Portland Winterhawks to the Scotiabank Saddledome. Game time is 7:00 p.m. for RE/MAX Chuck-A-Puck where four lucky winners will win a hot air balloon ride courtesy of RE/MAX.
