Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats dropped a nail biter, 3-2 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night at the Brandt Centre. Moose Jaw would score the lone goal of the first period and add another in the opening minute of the second to lead 2-0. 28 second after the second goal, Matt Bradley would score from the crease, his 15th to bring the Pats to within a goal. Then with the powerplay, Sam Steel hammered a one-timer from the right circle for his fifth and the game was tied 2-2. It stayed that way until the final minute when Jayden Halbgewachs took a pass in the high slot and ripped a shot into the top corner to give the Warriors the 3-2 lead and that was the final score. The Pats outshot Moose Jaw 33-30, the powerplay was one for five and the penalty kill two for three. Tyler Brown made 27 saves for Regina, Brody Willms 31 for the Warriors. The Pats (11-7-2-0) will visit Moose Jaw for a rematch with the Warriors on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Mosaic Place.
