Greenville Grrrowl News Release

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, have announced associations with several medical care providers for the upcoming 2004-05 hockey season. PELHAM LINKS FAMILY DENTISTRY, ORTHOPEDIC CENTER OF THE CAROLINAS, DR. ROBERT COLES, AND DR. LEE SAINDON will handle various healthcare services for Grrrowl players.

PELHAM LINKS FAMILY DENTISTRY has agreed to a two-year partnership to provide dental care to the team, after completing the first season with the Grrrowl in 2003-04. Dr. Greg Ayers leads a state-of-the-art facility and team of professionals at two locations (Old Boiling Springs Rd., just off Pelham Road in Greenville; and the River Falls location on Highway 290 in Spartanburg county).

THE ORTHOPEDIC CENTER OF THE CAROLINAS (located at 1 Memorial Medical Drive in Greenville) will enter their first season with the Grrrowl, and will handle all orthopedic related injuries. The practice is headed by Dr. William DeVault, and features an in-house physical therapy program headed by former Atlanta Brave (MLB) and Greenville Brave, Marty Clary.

DR. ROBERT COLES, D.M.D., P.A., Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, will continue his association with the organization, and has been with the organization since it's inception in 1998. Dr. Coles is responsible for repair and re-construction of lacerations and facial injuries. His offices are located on Winchester Court in Mauldin.

DR. LEE SAINDON, MD, enters his seventh year as the official general practitioner for the Grrrowl, and will administer general healthcare for the organization. Dr. Saindon, whose office is located on Woodruff Road, has also served in the same capacity for the past several seasons with the former Greenville Braves.

"The list of medical professionals at the disposal of our organization is second to none," commented Grrrowl General Manager, Byron Rucker. "We have been recognized by our peers for many seasons as having top healthcare providers, and the additions of a new orthopedic clinic also solidifies our standards. These very dedicated physicians, medical staffs, and state-of-the-art facilities cover all areas of services. The fact that they are professional sports enthusiasts is an added bonus for our players and staff."

The Grrrowl will open the 2004-05 schedule with a home game on Friday, October 22, 2004 against the Charlotte Checkers. Season tickets (starting at $238), mini-plans and flex packs are available now by contacting the Grrrowl office. Please call 467-4777 for additional ticket information.
