Kent, WA- The Victoria Royals dropped the Seattle Thunderbirds 6-1 on Saturday night at the ShoWare Center as Tyler Soy earned four points (1g-3a), including an assist on the game winner.

Notes:
Magical Man-Advantage - With three powerplay markers tonight, the Royals have now recorded goals with the man-advantage in 10 straight games. This sets the new franchise record for most consecutive contests with a powerplay tally.
Streak Breakers - Tonight's victory ended a streak of nine straight losses to the Thunderbirds for Victoria. The Royals' last victory over Seattle was a 3-2 win on March 2, 2015.
Familiar Faces - Victoria's Anthony Bishop and Seattle's Blake Bargar were facing their former teams for the first time tonight. The two skaters where traded for each other this past summer.
Glorious Goals - After tonight's game, the Royals have now scored six or more goals on seven separate occasions this season with a recorded of 6-1-0-0 in those contests. During the 2016-17 campaign, Victoria earned a perfect 12-0-0-0 mark when they record six or more goals.
Streaking Skaters - Four point streaks were extended in tonight's game for the Royals. Matthew Phillips has registered nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points in 10 straight games. The Road Ahead -The Royals will now travel to Edmonton to face the Oil Kings on Wednesday, October 18th at Rogers Place. Puck drop is set for 6:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. Victoria will return from their season long road trip on Saturday, October 28th to play the Vancouver Giants.
