
Mechanics win again in a shootout 3-2!

FRASER, MI-For the second consecutive game the Mechanics won the game in a shootout by scoring twice in four tries to defeat the Adirondack Frostbite tonight 3-2 at the Great Lakes Sports City.
Adirondack scored the first goal of the game just 28 seconds into the second period. The Mechanics would respond at 13:56 when newcomer, Adnrei Lupandin fired a shot from the point that beat the Frostbite goaltender to make it 1-1. Lupandin netted his first goal, also a power play goal, as a Mechanic and 6th goal of the season.
In the third period the Frostbite would again take a one goal lead before the Mechanics would respond with another power play goal, this time by Adam Edinger, his 42nd goal of the season.
Both teams headed into the shootout and Adam Edinger scored for the Mechanics first while Rod Branch made four saves on all four Frostbite attempts to secure the win.
Branch made his 59th appearance and won his franchise tying 31st game by making 21 saves including the four in the shootout.
The Mechanics wrap up their weekend tomorrow when they take on the visiting Elmira Jackals. Face-off is set for 7:30 PM.
