Omaha Beef News Release
The BEEF will look for revenge as the Billings Outlaws come to town in a crucial Western Conference clash for both teams. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha. The last time these two teams played was in week 1 in Billings where the Outlaws defeated the BEEF 70-37 in the season-opening game for both teams. Now, ten weeks later, the teams play again with possible playoff implications on the line. The BEEF, who became the first UIF team to clinch a playoff berth after last weekend's games, look to keep their hold on first place in the Western Conference and continue their march toward home-field advantage for the playoffs.
Last Saturday, in Sioux City, the BEEF defeated the Bandits 53-47 to keep alive their winning streak, which has now reached seven games. The streak is now the second-longest in team history and sits only behind the 10 straight the team put together in 2001. The BEEF's record of 8-2 is tied for the second best mark after 10 games, matching the 2003 season and sits only behind a 10-0 start by the 2001 team.
Billings comes to "The Slaughterhouse" having won 60-26 over the Bloomington Extreme last Saturday at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark. The Outlaws are currently 6-3 on the season and sit in third place behind the BEEF and the Sioux Falls Storm (7-2) in the Western Conference.
The game is being billed as "Armed Forces Night." Tickets are 50% off for Armed Forces personnel with military ID. Free stadium horns will be given out to the first 1,500 fans. In addition to the game, the BEEF's pre-game meal will be held at Texas Roadhouse, 520 N. 155th Plaza in Omaha, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Fans are welcome to join the BEEF for their pre-game meal at Texas Roadhouse. Fans are also encouraged to attend the BEEF Boardwalk before every home game, which will have games, music and entertainment out near the entrance of the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
If fans are unable to attend the game, they are encouraged to either:

BEEF THANK FANS FOR SUPPORT LAST WEEKEND IN SIOUX CITY
The BEEF want to express their thanks to the over 200 fans who supported the team last Saturday in Sioux City. Despite a rainy afternoon, the pre-game tailgate party was a great time complete with Meatheads, Rump Roasters, Prime Dancers and Ball Babes - Sir Loin even made the trip north to support his team. During the game itself, the BEEF fans were three times as loud as the Sioux City fans as they helped cheer the team to a key victory over our bitter rival. We know we have the greatest fans in all of indoor football and this was truly evident last weekend in Sioux City.
TEAM ACTIVE IN OMAHA COMMUNITY THIS WEEK
The BEEF have had a busy week in the Omaha community. On Wednesday evening, the team participated in "Cow-Tipping with the Omaha BEEF" at Indigo Joe's in Omaha. The fund-raiser, which saw BEEF players and Prime Dancers serving food and bartending to patrons, raised money for the local Nebraska chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In addition, the BEEF Boardwalk was set up and had games to play as well as saw a special appearance from the Rump Roasters. The BEEF also participated in events at local schools honoring children as part of the "Get Lean with the BEEF" campaign and also spoke at a Career Enrichment Day. In addition, this weekend brings the BEEF Football Camp on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium and the Omaha Bobcats Football Golf Tournament at the Knolls Golf Course in the afternoon. The BEEF will be sponsoring the 10th hole and will be represented at the event by the Prime Dancers, the Rump Roasters and the Ball Babes.
BLEED FOR THE BEEF UPDATE

During this weekend's game against the Billings Outlaws, The BEEF will honor those who have donated as well as honor Red Cross employees and staff. The team continues to invite their fans as well as the general public to donate blood up until the campaign ends on May 31st. During the campaign, anyone who donates will receive a 2-for-1 ticket voucher to be used at any of the team's remaining home games this season. MCNEAR NAMED OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK; SECOND TIME THIS SEASON
For the second straight week, a BEEF player has been recognized by the UIF as a player of the week. Quarterback James McNear takes home Offensive Player of the Week for his play in last Saturday's game against the Sioux City Bandits. The honor is McNear's second of the season as he also won in week 8. In the BEEF's 53-47 nail-biter win over the Bandits, McNear led the offensive output as he tallied 210 yards of total offense (52 rushing and 158 passing) and threw for six touchdowns (to four different receivers). McNear is one of four BEEF players to win Player of the Week honors this season. Defensive backs Diezeas Calbert and Dustin Creager and kicker Ricky Lebeda have also won. Hats off to James!
